Pibes Montserrat2 - 4N. Estrella Boedo

Nueva Estrella Boedo took a comfortable win at Pibes Montserrat's pitch, with a convincing 4-2 scoreline that reflected, beyond the result, the difference in efficiency between the two sides. In a match where the approaches were similar —both went for a balanced 4-4-2—, the visitors carried out their football with greater judgement and finishing, while the home side were left with good intentions. Pibes Montserrat had chances to punish, but the goals they got through Genaro Arbieto and Misael Altolaguirre proved insufficient against the Boedo side's effectiveness.

The match was decided by the quality of the visitors' forwards. Saúl Berasategui, with a rating of 7.7, was a constant threat and not only scored a goal but also provided an assist, showing why he is the jewel of Nueva Estrella Boedo's squad. Stefano Braun, at 32 years old, also found the back of the net, while Alberto Najib and Adriano Vincenzi —the latter from left-back— completed a collective performance that left no room for doubt. For the home side, Lisandro Arrarte tried to organise the defence with his experience as a thirty-two-year-old, and both he and Genaro Giménez contributed in attack with valuable assists, but they lacked solidity at the back. Víctor Serrano, Nueva Estrella Boedo's teenage midfielder, also made his mark with his performance, showing the characteristics of a prospect that Nueva Estrella Boedo is managing to develop.

For Pibes Montserrat, the task remains to review defensively what happened in those four goals conceded. The yellow cards shown to Arrarte and Giménez suggest a side that resorted to physicality when technique was not enough. Nueva Estrella Boedo, meanwhile, claimed three precious points on the road and confirmed that they have assembled a competitive squad in Primera I - GBA Norte.
