Independiente Agronomía took a victory that felt like a rescue in Villa Soldati, where the home side were up against an away team that made the most of its moments of quality to take the three points with a 3-2 scoreline that left the host with more doubts than certainties. It was a end-to-end match, where both teams came out with balanced line-ups and even mindsets, but where the details and efficiency ended up making the difference. Agronomía made the most of their chances with goals from Raúl Villari and Pipa Rizzo, while Villa Soldati replied through strikes from their full-backs Pedro Zambon and Gael Bonifazi. A tight result that sums up just how close the contest was.
The experienced Jonathan Sequeira and Ángel Villanueva pulled the strings well in the home midfield, sharing the play with the patience that comes with being 37 and 36 respectively, while Bonifazi and Zambon, both with a rating of 7.2, caused danger from the flanks and even got on the scoresheet. But at Agronomía, Matías Teixeira in defence (7.4) was solid in covering duties, and their wingers Martín Lagos and Raúl Villari combined youthful energy and dynamism: Lagos, at just 20 years of age, showed constant movement, while Villari, of the same age, finished with composure. Víctor Villa, another 20-year-old youngster in the visitors' back line, did his defensive job tidily.
For Villa Soldati, this setback on the second matchday of Primera L GBA Sur raises questions about their ability to close out home matches. They had chances to win it but did not put it away. Agronomía, meanwhile, leave the southern area with a victory that confirms their balanced approach and their ability to execute when the opponent slips up. An away win that carries more weight than usual in these early matchdays.
