Real Caballito Reservas and C. y Barrio Montserrat shared the spoils in a match where both sides showed similar intentions but without the precision needed to break the deadlock. The final 2-2 reflected an afternoon of nerves in both penalty areas: there were four goals in a fixture where neither side managed to impose themselves in any real sense, merely to piece together moments of clarity amid plenty of wastefulness.
Ian Berman was the most dangerous for the home side: his goal and assist summed up what Real Caballito were trying to do down the left flank, where Cristian Gallardo also found the net. The Mendoza winger, now thirty-four, remains useful in attack, though defensively he struggles against quicker opponents. In midfield, Chino Aldecoa tried to organise things from the deepest area with his usual unhurried manner, while Pichu Anchordoqui stood firm at the heart of the defence. For Montserrat, Gino Silvestre made the most of the space to score, and Damian Tévez, the Uruguayan right-back, also netted despite picking up a yellow card in a match where both defences made concentration errors. Damian Vigliani was booked too, a sign of a friction that never escalated.
The draw leaves Real Caballito Reservas without the home win they were seeking, while for C. y Barrio Montserrat it is a result they will accept, though one that lays bare their defensive limitations. Neither side can be fully satisfied, although both take a point that keeps them close in the Primera L - GBA Norte table. Matchday 5 closed with a match without winners, just two teams sharing the spoils before turning their attention to what comes next.
