Match report
Juventud San Cristóbal took a tight match against Indep. Parque Centenario with a goal from Cacho Ballarini on the third matchday of Primera L - GBA Norte. It was a fair result from a game in which both sides set out in similar fashion from the start, with no major tactical differences. The San Cristóbal side at home managed to turn their control into the only goal of the afternoon, while the visitors were unable to breach the home defence.
Ballarini, with a rating of 7.2, delivered in the key moments. The 25-year-old striker from Mendoza led the home attack patiently, waiting for his chances without panicking, and when his moment came, he took it without fuss. Rubén Giménez, the attacking midfielder, just 18 and rated 7.7, was one of the best on the pitch, distributing play from midfield with assurance, although he picked up a yellow card. At the back, Ariel Tamargo in the centre put in a solid display with 7.3. The visiting side did not disappear: Víctor Barba judged the tempo well from midfield with 6.5, but his teammates could not find any penetration. Santino Bressan, the veteran Parque Centenario attacker aged 31, barely had enough in the tank to make a difference; Eric Trapani on the left tried without finding any clarity, and ended up among the booked players.
The 1-0 scoreline sums up what happened on the pitch: a win without any fuss, a home side that knew how to manage the tempo at home and a visitor that could not break the mould. For Juventud San Cristóbal, three important points. For Parque Centenario, the challenge will be to bounce back in the next round without this defeat weighing too heavily in the table.
