Match report
Sociedad Parque Chacabuco and C. y Barrio Montserrat shared the points in a match that reflected the balance of power between two squads that opted to play it safe. The final 1-1 draw on the home pitch produced no winner, although neither side was beaten: both ended matchday 3 of Primera L - GBA Norte with the feeling that they had left something behind.
The match unfolded along the predictable lines of two 4-4-2 formations that prioritised organisation over recklessness. Loly Baldo, the home side's left winger, was the spark that lit up Sociedad Parque Chacabuko's attack; the 23-year-old scored the goal that put the hosts ahead, assisted by Tadeo Biscardi, who fulfilled his role at left-back without fuss. For the visitors, Lorenzo Arrizabalaga, a 31-year-old midfielder with experience etched into his back, levelled the scores when Montserrat needed it most. Defensive balance prevented either side from gaining a decisive advantage in the closing minutes.
What lingered in the air was the sense of two teams content with what they had earned, although perhaps they should have aimed for more. Sociedad Parque Chacabuko missed a golden opportunity to take all three points at home; C. y Barrio Montserrat take a point away from home but without creating much attacking noise. Ahead of the next matchday, both will have to review what happened in those spaces that nobody exploited. The 1-1 draw leaves both hungry, although it is unclear whether the satisfaction will allow them to sleep soundly.
