Real Caballito Reservas and CJ Villa Lugano drew 0-0 in a match where both teams opted for tactical caution. With 4-4-2 formations and balanced mentalities, the third-matchday fixture in Primera L - GBA Norte unfolded like a chess game without sacrifices, with neither side willing to give anything away, and the result reflected that mutual distrust. It was one of those matches where defensive security took priority over the desire to attack, and the 0-0 ended up being fair.
Real Caballito Reservas carried the burden of home advantage without being able to turn it into an attacking edge. Facundo Berazadi, the 30-year-old striker whose experience is reflected in his 7.1 rating, could not find the spaces he was looking for in the area. Gael Selvaggio, the 27-year-old Brazilian who arrived at the club almost by chance but with a rating of 7, also failed to cause much concern. Negro Nader, the 35-year-old right winger with plenty of experience but little end product, was booked but contributed little in attack. The visitors defended solidly, with Oliverio Escalante performing his defensive role in right midfield at the age of 24 without any trouble.
CJ Villa Lugano arrived as the away side without high expectations, but without fear either. Chacho Merlo, the 25-year-old striker from Merlo with a good rating of 7.2, had barely any clear chances and failed to take them when they came. Noé Molina on the left, another 26-year-old player with a rating of 7.2, was also unable to provide the expected spark. It was a match to fulfil obligations rather than win games. Real Caballito remain without a home victory; Villa Lugano remain unable to escape an uncomfortable position in the table. A point apiece, with no dreams shattered but no real gains either.
