Club Atlético Santa Rosa0 - 2Patriotas Núñez

Patriotas Núñez took a comfortable win away from Pompeya's pitch on matchday 11 of the capital Primera L, with a 2-0 scoreline that reflected the gap between two sides that set up in identical formations but did not bring the same resources to the pitch. The away side, with a more even squad in terms of individual quality, controlled the tempo of the match without needing to play eye-catching football. Pompeya tried to compete from a balanced mindset, but lacked precision in attack and defensive solidity when they needed it most. The goals did not come from brilliant moves, but from taking advantage of spaces the home side failed to close in time.

Patriotas' defence worked like a well-oiled machine. León Berasategui at left-back and Matías Borda on the right had the authority to control the flank, while Xavier Boccaccio in the centre showed the sort of solidity youngsters bring when they arrive hungry. In midfield, Lionel Berazadi dictated the tempo and allowed the team to keep the ball without any scares. Up front, Damian Neumann scored one of the goals, showing that thirty-four years old has not taken away his knack of being in the right place at the right time. Pompeya's centre-backs, with Adolfo Gigena and the youngster Leonardo Bonechi trying to hold firm, could not find a way to nullify those attacks. Lito Urquiza on the right wing barely had any chances to create danger in attack.

The result leaves Patriotas Núñez in the mix, while Pompeya will have to analyse what went wrong in a match where the opponent was more clinical in their attacking moments. It was not a disaster for the home side, but it was not enough to contest a match decided by fine margins.
