What player attributes are in a football manager

Attributes are the numeric characteristics of a player: how fast he is, how he passes, marks or finishes. Weighted by position, they produce his overall.

Every manager game describes players with numbers. Each attribute measures one concrete ability, such as pace, short passing, heading or composure, and the match engine uses those numbers to decide what happens in every move. They are usually grouped into physical, technical, defensive and mental, with goalkeepers having their own set. Knowing which attributes matter in each position is the key to picking a team and to deciding what to train.

In ELDT every player has 22 attributes from 1 to 20. Physical: pace, stamina, strength and jumping. Technical: control, dribbling, short passing, long passing, shooting, finishing and heading. Defensive: marking, tackling and positioning. Mental: decisions, vision, composure, aggression and leadership. Goalkeeping: reflexes, handling and positioning.

To make them easier to read, ELDT also shows grouped skills (defending, passing, scoring, pace and so on) as stars. Attributes rise with weekly training and, from Season 3, veterans aged 31 and over slowly lose physical attributes.
