Injuries in a football manager and how to avoid them
An injury is when a player gets hurt in a match and is out for a period that depends on its severity. While injured he cannot play or train normally.
Injuries are part of football and of manager games. A player can break down in any match, and the manager has to reshuffle the side while he recovers, which is why a squad needs cover in every position. In almost every manager the injury risk climbs with fatigue and with players of low stamina, and the medical staff usually shortens recovery times.
In ELDT players can get injured in official matches, and the lay-off depends on severity: minor, 1 to 3 days; moderate, 4 to 8; serious, up to 15 days at most. There are no injuries in friendlies. Injured players do not train.
The doctor and the physiotherapist get them back sooner: each gives an 8% chance per level, every day, of healing one extra day of injury, and the two add up to a cap of 80%. To prevent injuries, watch fatigue: tired players get hurt more.
