How to improve the stadium in a football manager

The stadium is the club's ground. In a football manager its capacity and its improvements define how many people get in, how much you earn and how much home advantage you have.

A bigger ground lets you welcome more fans and earn more, but expanding it costs money and time. In manager games investing in the stadium is a long-term bet: it pays when the fanbase already fills it.

In ELDT the stadium has three stands (Terrace, Grandstand and VIP) and every expansion shows you the extra per match and in how many home matches it pays for itself. If a stand does not fill, the game warns you that enlarging it adds nothing. Works take time: the Terrace 3 weeks, the Grandstand 4 and the VIP 5. There are improvements too: the pitch gives more home advantage, the dressing rooms help the squad recover fatigue, LED screens add 10% attendance, parking adds 5% and 15% in the VIP, and floodlights allow night matches. Concessions and the club shop raise what each spectator spends.

The stadium has fixed costs: stands pay maintenance per seat, and what you invested in improvements costs 2% a month. For clubs that have built everything there are the Club Projects, such as the new stadium.
