What a manager does in a football manager game
The manager (or head coach) is the person who decides how the team plays: he picks the starters, the formation and the tactics. In a football manager game, the manager is you.
In football the manager is responsible for picking the side, for training and for the plan of every match, and the first one pointed at when results do not come. In a manager game he usually runs the whole club as well: buys and sells players, negotiates sponsors, improves the stadium and looks after the money. A mix of coach and chairman.
In ELDT you are the manager of your club: you pick the line-up, choose formation, mentality and captain, decide the weekly training and run the market, the academy, the stadium and the finances. Matches are played live on Thursdays and Saturdays from 19:00 local time, with the ELDT Cup on Tuesdays.
Your career is on record: every achievement you unlock adds fame, and fame improves sponsor offers. The board sets you objectives every season and measures its confidence from 0 to 100: you start at 60, and if it drops below 25 you are on an ultimatum.
