N. Estrella Almagro1 - 1Federación Constitución

N. Estrella Almagro and Federación Constitución shared the points in a match where neither managed to impose their logic. The final 1-1 reflects the balance of power between two sides that opted for similar setups, both in 4-4-2, with no intention of taking too many risks. The goals came, but neither could find the second that would have allowed them to claim victory in this sixth matchday of Primera L de CABA. It was a tight contest where the chances were shared out without clearly favouring one side or the other.

Augusto Zurita opened the scoring for the home side with his trademark efficiency on the left wing, landing the first blow on Almagro. The man from Mendoza, 26, remains a troublesome presence for opposition defences. In midfield, Giuliano Garrido did his job as the playmaker with an assist that fed the home attack, albeit without any high-impact decisions. For the visitors, Federación Constitución found a response in Xavier Rizzo, the 23-year-old centre-back who took advantage of an aerial situation to level things up. Rizzo continues to surprise with his reading of the game despite his youth. In midfield, Levi Jablonski pulled the strings for Constitución but ended up booked, which limited his movements in the closing minutes. Mateo Pollini also tried to make things happen with his runs down the right without finding open space to exploit, while Lorenzo Carrizo, the visitors’ main attacking weapon, failed to convert his chances.

The draw leaves both with mixed feelings. Almagro will be left with the bitter taste of having been ahead without being able to close out the match, while Federación Constitución take a point away from home which, in this competition, is never to be sniffed at. Two sides who play in a similar way always run the risk of not creating enough, and that was what we saw here.
