Reservas Boedo1 - 1Patriotas Núñez

Boedo Reserves and Patriotas Núñez shared the points in a fixture that reflected the tactical balance of both squads, with neither side managing to gain the upper hand. The final 1-1 on Boedo's pitch was a fair result for two teams that set up in identical formations and with matching mindsets, without concessions but without excessive attacking ambition either. Rodolfo Prieto opened the scoring for the home side with a goal that allowed them to breathe in the first half, but Joaco Vicente levelled for the visitors and sealed a draw that both teams could claim as positive depending on how you look at it.

What was interesting was how the match was decided in the details. Prieto, at twenty-four years old, showed he is in the process of establishing himself in this category, although his goal was merely a reflection of an advantage that Boedo never managed to turn into a greater number of clear chances. In the middle, Elías Bazzani moved the ball from central midfield with judgement for the home side, providing an assist that added some spice to the local performance. At the other end, Vicente had his moment of sharpness: the Patriotas midfielder, at twenty-seven and in the prime of his career, did not need many opportunities to bring the score level. Damian Neumann, a thirty-four-year-old veteran, was the mortar holding the visiting side together, turning his experience into an assist when his teammates needed him.

Chacho Espinosa, at thirty-three, experienced but also booked, could not find the space he was looking for in the home attack. Ezequiel Vitale, another old-guard centre-back at Boedo, limited the defensive damage without any major alarms. The draw left Reservas Boedo without a chance to pull away at the top of the table, while Patriotas Núñez at least avoided a defeat. On a matchday when points are commonplace, neither side won, but neither lost either.
