Club Atlético San Silvines De Boedo2 - 2N. Estrella Almagro

Veterinarios Barracas and Nueva Estrella Almagro shared the points in a match that had everything: goals, bookings, and a rhythm that never allowed either side to break away. The 2-2 draw on matchday 15 in Primera L de CABA left both with mixed feelings: Barracas dropped two points at home when they could have won, while the visitors were pleased not to lose but frustrated not to make better use of a fine performance.

It was a duel between mirrored formations where the midfields decided much of the traffic. Ramiro Greco put in a solid display in the home midfield, though he finished booked for his liveliness. At the other end, Giuliano Garrido was Estrella Almagro's driving force: the 28-year-old Corrientes attacking midfielder scored a goal and set up an assist in what was his best night. Tiziano Aloma, Barracas' right-back, with his 38 years carried well, also found the back of the net, while Sebastián Piris levelled things up for the home side. At the back, Cristian Altuna and Horacio Saborido kept things in order in the visitors' defence, although both saw yellow. Leonardo Galli, in the home rearguard, did his job without standing out. Estrella Almagro's young full-back Leonardo Zanchetta, just 17, also picked up a booking in a display that showed nerves but also some potential.

The result leaves the debate open: Barracas wasted a golden chance at home against a rival that competed on equal terms but was not sharp enough to take the victory. For Estrella Almagro, the point away from home carries some merit, although their board will probably feel they could have demanded more in the decisive moments. Both will go on seeking consistency in a league where these draws end up feeling like points dropped.
