Patriotas Núñez1 - 1Sportivo Flores Sur

Patriotas Núñez and Sportivo Flores Sur shared the points in a balanced encounter that reflected, from first whistle to last, two very similar set-ups. The 1-1 that brought the afternoon to a close on matchday 3 of the Primera L de CABA was fair in its make-up: each side found the net only once and neither managed to find the tools to tip the balance decisively. Adrián Gutiérrez opened the scoring for the home side, but Adriano Bernardo levelled matters for the visitors before the end. It was a match in which both sides stuck to their 4-4-2 without daring to try anything too risky, simply managing their energy on a pitch where the tempo never became blistering.

Gutiérrez, a 27-year-old striker who knows the trade well from his time in Patagonia, was first to open the scoring for Patriotas. With a rating of 7.2, he had the ability to make the most of the chance when it came. At the other end, Bernardo answered with the same effectiveness: the young merleño striker, also rated 7.2, showed that at twenty he already handles the timings of the box well. Cris Bonechi, a Mendoza playmaker of just nineteen but with real nous, provided the assist for the home goal, though he would later be booked. Bautista Peñaloza, meanwhile, was the one who set Bernardo up from the right flank, rounding off a good display that also earned him a caution. In midfield, Mariano Brignole (7.2 rating, just 17 years old) tried to impose a defensive presence for Sportivo Flores Sur, though without any decisive moments.

The draw leaves a bittersweet feeling for both. Patriotas at least have a point at home, but did not make the most of home advantage to seal it. For Sportivo Flores Sur, taking a positive result away from home always adds to the tally, though they also lacked the cutting edge to take all three points. Two sides who will need to fine-tune the details if they want to climb the table.
