Mitre Sport1 - 1Club de Floresta Este

Liga Recoleta and Club de Floresta Este shared the points in a match where both sides bet on the same thing: balance and caution. The goalless draw at half-time seemed the inevitable fate of two squads that respected each other too much, but the second half brought movement. Alfredo Lizarazo, the 28-year-old Tucumán midfielder who arrived at Recoleta through a stroke of luck on a dirt pitch, opened the scoring with a strike that seemed to tip the balance towards the home side. The midfielder, who uses both feet, scored one that deserved a bigger celebration, considering his rating of 7.2 and the constant work he has been doing. But Floresta Este did not buckle: Camilo Zacchei, the 27-year-old right-back from Rosario, forced the equaliser with a goal that came in the closing stages and restored hope to the visitors.

Manuel Roldán, the 28-year-old Tucumán playmaker who carries a scar on his eyebrow as a reminder of his first steps in football, assisted Lizarazo and was one of the few who created imbalance on a pitch where containment came first. At the back, Aníbal Galli, the 36-year-old goalkeeper from Comodoro Rivadavia who began his career almost by chance, had a quiet afternoon until Zacchei caught him out. For Floresta, Juan Ramírez, the Colombian aged just 20 who arrived from Bucaramanga, tried to raid down the right but frequently ran into Lucho Vidaurre, the veteran 37-year-old left-back who remains a defensive wall.

The result leaves both sides with mixed feelings. For Liga Recoleta, dropping two points at home against a direct rival hurts, especially with that lead on the scoreboard. For Floresta Este, the draw is a lifeline that keeps their ambitions intact, but the team will need greater cutting edge if it is to compete near the top. Two evenly matched sides that cancelled each other out, with neither able to impose its will on the pitch.
