Match report
Defensores de Agronomía Centro did not have to suffer too much to take the three points against El Vencedor de Parque Chacabuco on matchday six of Primera I de la GBA Sur. A comfortable 2-0, with no unnecessary drama, which settled the fixture early and allowed the home side to manage the result without any scares. Both teams came with similar set-ups, that balanced 4-4-2 which in theory promises a tight battle, but in practice it was Agronomía who knew how to impose their logic from the opening minutes.
Yair Spinelli, the 26-year-old striker who carries his gathered strength in every move, was the main figure in attack for the home side. Rating of 7.7 and the attitude of someone who understands exactly where he stands in each move. Lionel Zambon, that 17-year-old youngster, took his chance to get involved in the match and score a goal that puts him on the project's radar. Vicente Zubeldía in midfield channelled the circulation calmly, without fuss, performing that role of available midfielder who structures play without pretending to be the star. Luis Coelho in goal did not need to pull off any acrobatics; he was simply there when needed. Federico Aizaga on the left flank picked up a yellow card but kept the defensive line in order.
El Vencedor arrived disorganised in La Plata. Marcos Baccaro in goal tried to hold back the onslaught but had no support. Quique Bauer on the right and Mati Jiménez on the left never found the timing to create real danger. The away side gradually felt the difference as the match wore on: no clear chances, with neither of their lines connecting. Agronomía Centro take a victory that boosts their progress in the tournament, while the Parque Chacabuco side will have to review how they came into this fixture so out of tune.
