Club Atlético San Silvines De Boedo0 - 1Atlético Villa Devoto FC

Atlético Villa Devoto FC claimed a deserved victory away at Veterinarios Barracas, with a solitary goal from Lucho Taveggia settling a tight match between two well-balanced sides on matchday 14 of Primera L de CABA. The visitors, with a solid 4-4-2 formation, found the right opening to punish a home side left empty-handed despite having their chances. The result accurately reflected what was seen: two teams cancelling each other out for much of the match, with the details making the difference.

Taveggia, the 23-year-old Uruguayan attacking midfielder and one of the visitors’ best performers with a rating of 7.2, scored the goal that sealed the three points. His performance in midfield allowed him to create the opening that Vet. Barracas could not deal with. In defence, Gastón Zola (7.6) and Misael Bonaventura (7.2) formed a solid centre-back pairing, while Pepe Krause at right-back regularly joined the attacks without neglecting his defensive duties. For the home side, Chino Zuccotti did his job at the back, although he struggled to contain the visiting full-backs’ advances; the 21-year-old centre-back was booked in a match where Vet. Barracas never quite found their attacking rhythm. Matías Caggiano was unable to make a decisive impact in attack, while Sebastián Barba, the experienced 33-year-old left-back, moved freely but played in a line that failed to create enough.

The defeat leaves Vet. Barracas without answers at home and needing to alter course next matchday. Villa Devoto, meanwhile, strengthened their campaign with a victory that gives them breathing room and improves their position in the table. It could have gone either way, but it ultimately went to the visitors because they made the most of their opportunity.
