Match report
Federación Liniers and Central de Belgrano R El Barrio shared the spoils in a match that had more going on than excitement, with both sides recognising each other as equals from the very first minute. The 1-1 draw on matchday 10 of Primera I GBA Oeste was a fair result, though it left either side with the feeling of a missed opportunity. With identical 4-4-2 formations and balanced mindsets, neither side tried to force the issue, which led to a predictable encounter where the goals came more from individual details than tactical superiority.
Alberto Guevara, a 20-year-old Neuquén central midfielder, was the man who opened the scoring for the hosts. With a rating of 7.2, the youngster showed assurance in midfield, the sort of natural composure that some footballers take years to acquire. For the visitors, Javier Wolf levelled things up thanks to an assist from Sebastián Aizpurúa, a Patagonian left-back who was not far behind in performance with his rating of 6.5. Both sides had their moments, though neither managed to pull away clearly. Ramón Grabowski, Liniers's left-back aged thirty and with experience, was a reliable defensive anchor on his flank, while Matías Levin, Central de Belgrano's left-sided midfielder at 36, tried to create danger but could not find the attacking compass his side needed.
The draw leaves Federación Liniers without all three points at home, something that weighs heavily on any team's ambitions. Central de Belgrano rescued a valuable point away from home, though Thiago Bargnesi on the right wing went off with a yellow card and the feeling of not having made the most of the trip. Both will keep searching for consistency in the next fixtures; for now, the points were shared equitably, but with neither side satisfied.
