ELDT updates: this week’s news for 28 September 2026
A huge week in ELDT: Season 3 brings a new five-tier league system, Latin American expansion, and a raft of changes that make the game deeper.

A huge week wrapped up in ELDT: Season 3 brings a new league system reorganised into five levels, expansion across Latin America with international competitions, and a whole pile of changes that make the game deeper. Red cards, suspensions, a bigger staff of up to 14 employees, different tactics by match type, and a transfer market that’s busier than ever. On top of that, we’ve booted bots out of auctions so they stop making a nuisance of themselves when it comes to buying, fixed bugs that were leaving a few managers dazed and confused, and opened the official WhatsApp group so everyone can get together.
Season 3: everything expands
Season 3 brings what many have been waiting for. ELDT is going continental: Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela will all have their own leagues, clubs and players, with the game in each country’s language. Nothing you have in Argentina disappears: your club, your squad, your stadium and all the cash you’ve built up stay where they are. What’s new is that the best from each country will meet in international cups, first across Latin America and then against Europe and the rest of the world. The pyramid is being rebuilt into five levels: Primera División, Primera Nacional, Primera B, Primera C and Primera D. Where you finish in Season 2 is where you start in Season 3. In the League section you can already see where each country will fit in (Argentina is live, the rest are on the way).

Cards and suspensions: now there are real consequences
From this week, the referee is dishing out proper cards in matches: yellow, second yellow and straight red, depending on how aggressive the player is. If you get sent off, your team plays with one fewer player for the rest of the match. A red card, whether straight or through a second yellow, earns one match suspension, and if a player picks up four yellows in official matches (league, cup and reduced format), they also miss one match. Friendlies don’t count for anything here.
There’s a new Suspensions section where you can see who’s one booking away, who’s suspended, and the suspended players for your next opponents. The game warns you when someone is banned and won’t let you put them in the line-up: if you had them pencilled in as a starter, the system swaps them out automatically. Yellow cards carry over are wiped at the end of the season, but pending suspensions still have to be served.
Less noisy bots in the market
One manager pointed it out in the group, and he was absolutely right: bots were winning auctions by overbidding and, on top of that, challenging duels just to lose. Two problems fixed. Over 14 days, bots placed 15.594 bids against a single manager who was already ahead and won 1.491 auctions. They bid three times more than all the managers put together and were paying up to 160% of a player’s true value.
The issue is that bots are the game’s main buyers: 65% of sales (2.154 of 3.329) are to machines. If we removed them from every auction where managers are bidding, prices would collapse. If we’d left them as they were, buying would have been chaos. So we went for the middle ground: when the player in front in an auction is a manager, the bot will only bid up to 70% of the player’s value. If you bid higher, the bot drops out. In auctions where only machines are bidding, everything stays the same. And as for duels: bots no longer issue challenges, but you still can challenge them (and be warned: when a human challenges them, they win often).
Bigger staff: 14 employees to build your structure
Now the coaching staff and club structure are much more complete. You can hire up to 14 different employees, each with levels from 1 to 5. The higher the level, the more the effect shows. There’s the Fitness Coach (fatigue recovery), Physio (injuries last less), Nutritionist (helps players over 29), Set-Piece Coach, Youth Co-ordinator, Commercial Manager (adds a percentage to takings), Accountant (improves financial score), Stadium Manager (lowers upkeep and boosts attendance), Contract Agent (cheaper renewals), Sporting Director (renews automatically), Dressing Room Leader (morale doesn’t drop as much after defeats), Psychologist, Head of Security, and Press Officer. The Doctor also really does work now. Each one has a fixed wage, but the ones who boost takings grow with what your club brings in: at bigger clubs it’s worth having them at a high level; at smaller clubs, a low level one or none at all is usually better.
Club projects: five prestige builds
For managers who’ve already finished building everything and have the cash in the bank, five new projects have arrived, more expensive and with permanent effects. The Founders’ Plaque ($200M) adds 1.500 in fame. The Presidential Box ($300M) adds 15% in concessions and merchandise. The Club Foundation ($400M) brings 300 fans for every home match plus 2.000 in fame. LED Lights and Giant Screen ($500M) boost attendance and takings by 10%. And the Colossus ($1.000M), the completely new stadium, delivers 20% attendance and takings forever, stacks with other improvements and requires Legendary Renovation.
Tactics by match type (Supporter)
A new perk for Supporters: you can save one tactic for the League, another for the Cup, another for Friendlies and another for Duels, and they apply automatically in each match. You set up the team on the pitch (starters, bench, formation, mentality and captain) and click Save on whichever type you want. Done: in those matches, that’s the tactic used. If you later sell players, someone gets injured or suspended, that match will be played with your normal line-up so you never end up fielding players you no longer have.
Training history (Supporter)
A new Supporter section keeps the full training record of your club from day one. Week by week you can see what your team trained, how many improved and who gained what. There’s a search tool to check player by player, their full timeline, and the big jumps are marked with ⚡ so you can see who responds best to the work.
La Tribuna: replies are here
Posts in La Tribuna now have a Reply button, and the replies appear underneath in order with each club’s crest. When someone replies to your post, you get a notification, and if you reply to someone else, we’ll also let you know when more people comment there. Each reply can be up to 300 characters. In addition, the club search now finds everyone: before, some clubs weren’t showing up.
Friendlies on your terms: day, time and kick-off slot of your choice
Friendlies are no longer tied to Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Now you choose the day, the time (in 15-minute slots), whether you’re at home or away, and up to 14 days in advance. The only blocked times are the official ones: Tuesdays from 20:30 to 22:00 (Cup) and Thursdays and Saturdays from 20:30 to 00:00 (League). One friendly per day. Computer-run clubs will also invite you to play. A friendly brings in 15% of an official match crowd, so ticket and concession income is 15%: useful for giving the squad minutes, not for filling the coffers.
A livelier market
All computer-run clubs now post and bid in every round, always according to their cash and the player’s true value. More buyers if you’re selling, more players if you’re buying. When two bids land at exactly the same moment, the higher one wins and the other gets a notice to bid again.
Auction without leaving the view
When you list an auction from the squad, you now stay in the same view with the same filters and the same order. The squad table view is remembered too: if you choose it once, it’ll open like that next time.

Important fixes
Three bugs reported by managers have now been fixed. First, stadium prices: when you changed the price of one section (for example VIP), the numbers for the others changed too. That was happening because the system was recalculating everything with a bit of randomness each time. Now it’s stable: only the part you touch changes. Second, players sold while on loan: in July some players who the seller had out on loan could be auctioned, and when the loan ended, the player returned to his original club. That’s now fixed: buyers got their players back and we refunded their money. And now a player on loan simply cannot be listed in an auction. Third, some managers who took over a new club had players arriving with the contract v
